The N2796A is a new generation of low-cost single-ended active probe with AutoProbe interface. This probe integrates many of the features required for modern general-purpose high-speed probing and is ideally suited for digital system design, component design/characterization, and educational research applications. Its 1 MΩ input resistance and extremely low input capacitance (1 pF) provide ultra-low loading of the device under test. This advantage, combined with excellent signal fidelity, makes this probe particularly suitable for today's digital logic voltages. And, with its wide dynamic range (±8 V) and offset range (±12 V), the probe can be used in a variety of applications.

For high signal integrity probing, the N2796A 2 GHz active probe is the perfect complement to Keysight’s 1 GHz bandwidth Infiniium and InfiniiVision Series oscilloscopes. The N2796A can also be used with Keysight's 2.5 GHz or higher bandwidth Infiniium 9000 or 90000 Series oscilloscopes and is a low-cost alternative to the 1156A-1158A active probe or InfiniiMax probe.

The N2796A is equipped with a white LED headlight to illuminate the circuit under test. The probe is powered directly by the InfiniiVision and Infiniium Autoprobe interfaces, eliminating the need for an additional power supply. The probe also comes standard with a number of accessories for easy connection to the circuit under test.
