Today's high-speed digital designs require designers to have a deep understanding of the causes of jitter. Phase noise is one of the most important measures of signal-generating device quality and a factor that impacts the performance of mission-critical applications such as aerospace and defense and communications.

This software package helps you perform jitter, vertical, and phase noise analysis using Keysight Infiniium 9000, S-Series, EXR Series, and MXR Series oscilloscopes.

The time correlation of jitter with a real-time signal allows you to easily trace the source of jitter components. Additional compliance views and a measurement setup wizard now simplify and automate RJ/DJ separation for testing against industry standards.

The phase noise analysis function measures the phase noise within the clock source. The measurement results are displayed as a logarithmic frequency plot, where the amplitude units are in dBc/Hz (decibels relative to the carrier power normalized to a 1 Hz bandwidth).
